Adoulis) - US ambassador to Ethiopia, Donald Yamamoto, met last Wednesday, leaders of Eritrean opposition parties who are in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa to prepare for the conference of the Eritrean opposition which is anticipated take place next April.
A well-informed source said that the ambassador expressed, during the meeting which lasted for more than three hours, his support for the struggles of the Eritrean people for democracy, peace and stability in the region. He further affirmed his readiness to stand by the Eritrean people to recover their rights.
Moreover, the ambassador affirmed support of the USA for the Eritrean opposition. He bitterly criticized the Eritrean regime and condemned its negative role in the region.
It is worthy mentioning that besides the ambassador; US Consul in Addis Ababa, leaders of Eritrean opposition factions and members of the preparatory committee of the conference also attended the meeting.
